    No. I always use one light only, no additional panels (black or white) or reflectors. I like to keep it really simple. Complex sets make me nervous ^_^ (and insecure).

    Tip: more dramatic lightring works better with flower photography. Look into how Mapplethorpe lit his flower series: those are considered flawless in many a photographers book.

    You need to suppy us with more details. What was the aperture (DOF) and what was the shutter speed for example. Did you shoot raw? If so, did you apply proper sharpening? Etc. Etc.
