Re: Flashpoint Battery grip for 7D

The flashpoint grip has a tripod mount.

The grip feels a little bit cheaper than the camera in build quality. The plastic feels cheaper and the buttons do as well. For the price I'm still very...

    Re: 7d Review- when?

I think that Darwin review is biased. They tested at f8, f11 and f13 for the comparisons, below the DLA for the 7d (f6.8). Bryan's review draft mentions the camera is less sharp than other cameras...

    Re: I Need Your Opinion

Perhaps a helpful tip for those with smaller monitors is to use the zoom feature of your browser. This can be done easily in Firefox, Chrome, and IE by holding the Ctrl key and scrolling the...

Sean - why so harsh? Rather than putting down this thread contribute to it! Lets keep this forum positive - even for those of us with lesser gear.

Here is a shot from the lens you mentioned -...

    Re: Flash exposure

higher iso is the last variable to change besides a faster lens.

Maybe post examples with exif data for more input.

    Re: Advice for newbie

My wife and I were in your situation 3 years ago. We bought an XTi and then shortly after a 40d. My point is not in the camera bodies, but that we quickly realized that 2 people and 1 camera was not...

Re: What's wrong with this picture?

George could you post some 100% crops of identical images showing the difference between the filters you mention? I've done some testing myself but do not have the extensive selection of gear you...
  11. Re: EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS or EF 24-70mm f/2.8L

Since you can't define when you will upgrade, I strongly recommend the 17-55.

IS is a very useful feature if you can shoot with a slow shutter speed.

17mm is noticeably wider than 24mm....

    Re: Workflow: image import

The Zoombrower EX Memory Card Utility works great for me. My XTi CDs didn't have it, but a refurbished 40d I just purchased had it on the included discs.

  16. Re: Relative ISO vs Aperture Light Comparisons?

Re: Anyone else tired of camera scams?

I'll second that Adorama's used department needs to be audited. The customer service is top notch - but ideally they shouldn't be contacted. The used equipment should come as rated and customers...

    Re: First HDR Photomatix...suggestions?

    I like it.

Especially since it's your first and it's not overdone. Many HDRs are ruined with extremes. The window is interesting.

HDR is something I've discovered recently as well. Keep it...
