I would like this. I use a Black Rapid strap, and since the camera hangs at my side the nob gets turned frequently.
I would stick with the f/4 IS unless you are shooting something like sports a lot.
The easy solution is to stop looking at 100% crops.
Otherwise use a tripod.
Not to be flip, but set you 28-135 at 50mm and have look around through the viewfinder under the shooting conditions you describe. Zoom to 85mm and repeat. Buy accordingly.
I agree with Daniel,...

ISO is the new megapixel in camera marketing. Just don
If you use wide angle lenses on a full frame camera (or 35mm), then yes get them. They minimize vignetting. Some of the slim filters require a special lens cap (B&W) that I hate. On a crop body, I...
The 50mm 1.8 will be noticeably sharper than the kit lens. It is sharper than many of the L lenses.
I would also consider your lighting pretty carefully. On color, use the custom white balance function on a few test frames. I would not rely on the auto white balance.
I am not sure, but the descriptions on the Schneider optics page suggests a difference beyond the sealing. The second polishing to ensure parallel surfaces and the neutral quality of the filter seem...
I would wait for the reviews. The spec sheet misses some things I would want for the price. With the 7D cost falling somewhat, I am not really sure I would be in a hurry to buy a 60D. The 7D has...
If you already own an accessory flash, consider a flash bracket and flash cable.
A cheap set on Kenko extension tubes would also be handy.
You will have to ditch all of the EF-S lenses as they won
I think you are taking it too personally and reading a bit much into the gesture. She may have simply wanted to tell you the camera and flash were off so you wouldn
"Removable" doesn't preclude the fact that you have to buy it. I will be very surprised if it comes with the collar. They chargeextortionrates for the things as an add-on.
Yes, there are dangers in downloading software of unknown origin onto your computer (mac or pc). Torrents of popular software are often simply viruses with enticing file names.
I would simply...
Try not to get too emotional about it. Yes, $600 for a thumbnail isextortion, but $600 won't get you far if you need to hire a lawyer to fight them. Maybe 3 hours.
Your gear list looks very nice to me.
What don't you like about your pictures? Looking at your webpage, those look good too.
I use a Domke F-802 for a similar load (I don't like to carry a laptop, but I could fit one in there in a padded sleeve no trouble). It isdiscreteand good for city outings. It also makes a nice...
The Giottos carbon legs are a pretty good value in my opinion.
I have a personal preference or Arca type heads, but the Manfrotto heads are pretty solid for the money. I had a 488RC2 for a bit...
The $239 price is likely the education version. Be prepared to prove your credentials as either a student or employee of a college or university through a mildly confusing process. All you will be...
I love that lens! I want it! I just hope by the time I've got the money for it Canon may have overhauled it. We're 2 years shy of its 15th birthday! Personally I prefer a loud IS. Helps me make sure...
If it was me, I would take my S90 and a light weight rangefinder with a 50mm and 90mm lens (but I am a bit antiquarian in that I still like to carry a film camera- cheap and durable). I can fit it...
