Thank you. We have planned for a helicopter ride into the canyons, going to queens bath, and are planning a boat trip along the Na Pali coast. I did review Brian's images. They are my ideal scenario.

I am heading to Kauai in a couple of weeks. Looking for suggestions on where to shoot. I'm taking my Canon 6D, 24-105 f4 lens, 70-200 f4 lens, and nifty 50 mm f1.8 lens. Tripod too :)

Thanks for setting me straight. A tripod is definitely the way to go. Just purchased a Sirui T2005X.
Next week I'll be taking a vacation to Europe. Heading to eastern France in burgundy region, Annecy in the French alps, training it through Switzerland staying in a few small alpine towns, then...
Thanks for the feedback guys. We are going to Murren, Brig, then riding the Glacier Express to Chur. Then hitching a ride on the Bernia express to Lugano, traveling to Lake Como, and ending in...
My wife and I are taking a two week trip to eastern France and Switzerland in early September this year. I'm already researching where I want to go and what I want to photograph. I keep debating...
Glad to see all the replies. I guess I'm looking for something a little more inconspicuous than the M. The M is good, but it still is slung around your neck.
I'm looking for a secondary / backup camera for travel purposes. I currently have a 6D that I use a 24-105mm lens on. There are times when I travel that a small inconspicuous camera might be handy....

I'd like to start a thread on post processing hardware. What setups do people have....CPU and specs, monitors, etc. I have an old macbook pro and it is just to slow and weak to me. I've maxed out...
Photo from my recent honeymoon to Lake Plitvice, Croatia. Hundreds of waterfalls and no tripods allowed....:(

I'm taking a trip (honeymoon) to Croatia in October for two weeks. Will be flying into the south side of the country and meandering our way up into Slovania to the base of the alps. I planning on...
Thanks conropl. First time I've had anyone look at my site. Really appreciate the visit.

Has anyone had any luck with Digital Foci Photo Safe II? The more I travel around, the less comfortable I feel with carrying my laptop all the time for backup. I have an ipad, but it just doesn't...
I've been thinking about getting the 40mm as well to pair with my 6D. I think a good option is to rent it for a week and play around with it to get an idea of how you like it. You can rent it for $17...
Thanks for the feedback.
Neuroanatomist, I did consider the Hatchback as a gear pack. I really like that bag. It actually might be my second purchase to whatever I get to travel with. I do fly...
I'm sure I'm in the same boat as most budding photographers. I'm always looking for a new pack that's more efficient and comfortable for carrying my gear. I'm going on a two week honeymoon in...
So I've got my new 6D, and I've been having a great time with it. It is an amazing piece of technology. I noticed a few days ago that somehow a thread or hair had worked it's way either onto my...
Apologies for putting this on the Lens page. Meant to click the accessories.
I'm looking for a solution to backing up photos (shot in raw on 6D) while on trips. I'm tired of lugging around my laptop, and have only been carrying an iPad with me. I've tried researching ways...
No worries on venting Keith. Since I'm learning still about raw conversion, what does LR do better than Aperture? Can you process raw with LR and then move them directly to Aperture?
At the...
