Re: EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

I sold my version I for $1800 ... because I had sold my Camera... but this year looks like the year I'll be blowing a mint, especially if the 24-70 IS comes out like predicted :)

    I just hope...

Re: 24-70 2.8 IS yes or no

The 2.8 is a tank, the 4 is not so much but still a great lens. And I've been told a lot sharper IQ.

Also .. as mentioned, yes I was comparing 2.8 vs 4.. not 4 vs 4 with IS :) I just assume...

    Re: New lens coming up?

There's always rumors, we'll see when they actually announce them.

But the 2 rumors I'm looking forward to coming true are the 24-70 IS and 70-200 2.8 IS II.

Also a 15-24 would be greatly...

    Re: 17-40 L or Ultrawide

On a crop, the 10-22 IMO.

For FF.. 16-35 or 17-40L are both great options. If not, I've also seen great reviews on the Sigma/Tokina lens...

    Re: The first dance. Pictures.

1st one is a nice view, but I think you have too much of the ceiling in there, maybe crop it a bit?

And agreed on the little dark on some points..

Re: Some Random Notes on My First (D)SLR

I was in a similar boat.. I went from the S100 (which I loved to death at the time) ... then I swapped to the G2 and really enjoyed it for the time I had it, even bought some of the "lens" for it.

Re: Canon Lens Prices Rising 10%?

I'm pretty sure it's based on the USD vs YEN... nothing to do with the Economy.

  17. Re: Speck of dirt in Canon 70-200 2.8 IS USM Lens.

Long as it doesn't affect your photos dont' worry about it.

If it's possibly fungi, then you might have a problem... if it's brand new, I'd just return it if you're that concerned, most stores...
