Strange. I didn't have quite the same issue, my lightroom would just freeze. If you recently updated your GPU, I will assume you have the latest drivers for the video card, if not, check on that. ...
Did you try changing the Graphics processor setting I mentioned? One of my computers had some incompatibility between Lightroom and the graphics processor.
Could be the graphics processor. Try changing the setting on how Lightroom uses it. Edit - Preferences. Goto the Performance tab and change the setting for 'Use Graphics Processor'.
I picked up the 24-70/2.8 II recently and have a few days left of my return period. I like the f/2.8, focus speed and IQ. But I also like the range of the 24-105, IS, and 77mm thread. Tough choice...
Your EF-S lenses will not work with either the 6D or 5DII - 17-55 2.8, 60mm Macro 1.8 (is this really the EF-S 2.8?), ULTRAWIDE 10-22.
Zion is fantastic and I hope to get back there. There are some great hikes and each one seems unique in its own way. If you get a chance hike the Narrows.
Some pictures from when I went:...
Really Right Stuff has their MTX Multi-Tool. Maybe look at various bike tools, they tend to be metric, but the 4mm should cover for 5/32" and won't have a knife. If you don't mind a knife,...
Similar scene at our house. We threw peanuts out for the squirrels during the snow on Thursday. Later that night fox was finding them under 6" of snow.

It could be and I appreciate the feedback. I am not sure I have heard about Cooper's Hawk. I know we have Red Tailed in the area, so I was looking at various pictures to verify. It looked like...

Mark.
I sent you a PM.
Thanks. I completely agree on the exposure. I thought they looked better in Lightroom before exporting, I'll need to adjust them a little. The rinks vary in lighting, some are consistently lit...
Thanks all for the feedback on the tripod ring. I'll just need to get used to it. For skating competitions, I shoot a lot on a monopod and use the ring to rotate orientation. With the f/4 ring it...
Thanks Brant, was able to use it this evening at practice. Look forward to see how they turn out.
Does your tripod ring true similar to what I describe? Trying to figure out what I should expect.
So, my new 70-200 f/2.8L IS II just arrived! I originally thought the new 100-400 would be my next purchase, but as I thought about what I shoot, I changed. With my kids running around and daughter...
Crutchfield shows it in stock. They are smaller for camera compared to B&H and others. Pictures are out of date, but description and pricing match. I believe they just added it to the site today. ...
I was also hoping to see a 100-400 this year as well. It would have been a good addition for me. Not sure yet if I wait, buy the current, or re-evaluate.
I had thought about the 70-200 f/2.8...
Blue Angels flew over Baltimore this weekend for the Celebration of the 200 year anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner. All shot with 5D3, 70-200 f/4L IS. Down the road, I need a longer lens, but...
I would love to see more as well. Not just the photography parts, but some of the travel tips as well to help in our future planning (Hotels, tour guides, where to eat, etc).

Zion Narrows was a great hike even into October. I went mid Oct in 2012. Best part is the water isn't high (waist deep at the most) and risk of flooding is low. You can rent dry pants and shoes...
I am very happy so far. Seems like the vignetting I saw was small and should be easy to correct. Note that I did have a B+W XS-Pro UV filter on the lens when I took the shots. Look forward to...
Got my lens yesterday and took a few shots outside the office. I don't have enough experience to judge, but wanted to share. All taken on 5D3, handheld, ISO 100. Nothing done to them in Lightroom,...
Looks like mine will be here Monday! I had been wanting to replace my EF-S 10-22 since getting the 5D3, so I placed a pre-order for the 16-35 f/4 when it was announced, thinking I could decide...
Noted - I had previously thought about the 135 for indoor sports and portraits. But I know I would get a lot more use out of the 70-200 and would probably upgrade my f/4 to the f/2.8 over the...
Awesome, thanks for the great feedback from everyone.
My plan for the next time:
Get closer, zoom in, eye level. Even if shooting through the glass
Play with +2/3 stop exposure...
