Used lens with a small defect

    Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a used ef-s 17-55 that has popped up on Ebay, which has a small defect on the front of the lens. The seller sent me an image of the front of the lens. Would this defect have any impact on image quality (the seller says it wouldn't)?

    Thanks!

    Probably minimal.

    Thanks Sean!

That was quite an informative (and fun) read.

Should be no issues, except perhaps a slight loss of contrast and a bit more flare than usual if shooting directly into a bright light.
