Just got a Canon 70-210 f/3.5-4.5 USM - anyone ever try/use this lens?

Just arrived in the mail yesterday was something that I couldn't resist getting - a lightly used Canon 70-210 f/3.5-4.5 that I found on B&H for a great price. Supposedly this lens was made from 1990-1997 and then discontinued in favor of the 75-300 f/4-5.6 and 70-200L f/4. It is very similar to the 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM that Bryan reviewed.

Anyone have any experience with this lens? Impressions? I will be taking this lens with me for outdoor daytime sports. It will be really nice to have fast Ring USM and not have to deal with incredibly annoying rotating front elements.

I will also try and get some pictures of this lens on my T1i and some ISO 12233 crops up.
