2024 - Image of the Month April

Welcome to TDP forum's Image Competition where photographers may submit their images. The period of entry will fluctuate depending on the number of entries but will be no more than 1 month. Monthly winners then will compete on a quarterly and then annual poll for the title of "TDP Forum Image of the Year."

    Rules/Guidelines:

    • April entry period will be from April 1st until the end of the month or we have approximately 6 images.
    • Please provide a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, and any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • You may make two entries per period. If the total number of entries by all participants exceeds 10, unless otherwise specified, the first entry will be added to the poll.
    • A bimonthly poll will be open for 3 days. A monthly poll will be open for 5 days.

    Good Luck!

Last week we finally had some nice spring weather in my parts of Sweden, and just like many other years that made me take some mandatory spring flower shots.

My favorite shot from the eclipse:

I didn't check the eclipse schedule before planning a trip to Japan...

    "Sakura"

    Canon EOS M6 II + Sigma 56mm f/1.4 (ISO 100, 1/4000s, f/1.8)

    "Honmaru Palace"

    Canon EOS M6 II + Sigma 16mm f/1.4 (ISO 100, 1/160s, f/1.4)

These Sigma EF-M mount lenses are an absolute joy to use. They really fill-out the EOS-M system (RIP).

"Hospital Cellblock" – Cellblock 3, the hospital at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia

    EOS R8, RF 10-20mm f/4L IS STM @ 10mm, 1/80 s, f/8, ISO 2000

A bit tricky as there is 1 week left to April but we are at 10 photos and we can only have 10 spots for voting. So, I am closing this thread to new pictures and will start a new thread for April. If we get 4 or more pictures in that thread, then I will close that one May 1. If not, I will roll those images into May.

    Sorry for any inconvenience...But.....

    Now voting!
