2014 - Image of the Week #13

This entry period for Week 13 will be from Monday March 24th through/including Sunday March 31st.

Only two categories of images will be judged:

1. Portraits -- Anything with eyes; people or animals
2. Landscape -- Country, town, city, sea, abstract, things (water drops, smoke, flowers, candles, and so on)

Each category will have a single winner each week. This week will be judged by Poik.

Please supply a title for your image and which category it is entering. Enter as many times as you would like, old or new images.

This is an old barn that I shot last fall but I re-worked it for this week

Portrait - Ring-Billed Gull

It appears their migration through the local parking lot has begun.

Title: McCarty's Cove

For the landscape entry I am going to have to give it to conropl's "McCarty's Cove", it's just a really great shot. The smooth clouds and windblown snow together with the lighting is just spot on.

For portrait I am going with Jayson's "Ring-Billed Gull." It's a sharp capture and you can really see the movement the bird is going through. I liked the subject matter of "Slugger" but the arm is slightly out of focus and I think some details are lost in the white areas.
