Min Focus Distance and Subject Framing Size

My algebra is a bit fuzzy and need some help please.

I'm trying to figure out the subject framing size at minimum focus distance for a Canon EF 135mm f2.0 L USM lens on a 5D MKII.

I know the framing size at 470 cm from the subject = 120 cm x 80cm

What then is the framing size at minimum focus distance of 86.3 cm?

This will help me work out if this lens will suit my purposes or not.

    Thanks,

    Tim

Hey, I have no idea what the formulas are on this, but the calculator here

    http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/camera-lenses.htm

comes up with 135mm when the subject is 8" wide (about 20cm). With some math I think that means it would be just over 13cm on the short side.

Now I may be completely wrong, but there's a guess.

Thanks for the URL, I'll bookmark it right away.

    That's really close to what I figured - 22 cm x 14.6 cm but wasn't sure because the ratio doesn't look like it fits 3 x 2.

Actually I think it is a 3:2 ratio.

    22 / 3 = 7.33

    14.6 / 7.33 = 1.99

    Thanks again for your help.
