    ebay: EF 50mm f/1.0 L



    Just stumbled over this ebay auction (it's not mine) and since it's a rather rare lens I thought I'd mention it here ... before I get tempted myself, although the EUR 3300,- starting price is an extremly strong deterrent ;-)

    Save your money and buy the 50mm f/1.2 ...from what I hear it

    Yes, the price is a bit strange, for an additional 100,- you could buy a brand new 50 f/1.2 and 85 f/1.2 II. Will be curious to see whether somebody actually pays so much...

    Keh has three of them up, ranging from $5K for EX+ down to $3400 for bargain condition. Apparently, it's a collectors item...

    YES. The 1.2 is quite blissful. Since changing the focusing screen in my 5DmkII I love this lens even more.


    For the price of the 1.0 you could easily own 50 1.2 and the 85 1.2.

    Yeah but I have both the 50 f/1.2 and 85 f/1.2
