I'm new here...sorry for my english.
I have a Canon 7D and sometimes (not allways) when iam shooting one shot and in single shooting settings the camera take two shoots consecutive.
Is this normal? Is there any option that i have wrong in the menu?

You're right to be confused. That shouldn't happen unless you're using one of the custom buttons (C1-C3) instead of something like Av or Tv. Those tend to revert back to different settings if you haven't used it within a specific time frame. When it does take a double shot, did you look at the LCD screen and confirm everything was still set to single shot settings with no bracketing enable and we're you using live view or looking through the viewfinder?

I'm shooting through the viewfinder. I think that i don't have bracketing enable. I'm in the AV mode.
It apears on the left side os focus circle the number 15, on the viewfinder. I was reading the manual and the number 15 indicates the maximum continuos shoots.
PS: I was reading the manual and i think i know now. Its because de silent mode shoot.

Wat mode should i select? Mode 1, Mode 2, or Disable?
I test in all modes and it shoot sometimes more than one shot.

Hey Doc, Welcome to the forums!
I think I got this! Since it doesn't happen all of the time, I think you are probably pressing the RAW/JPEG button just below the ON button on the camera. You may be hitting it by accident with your left thumb. This button will add a JPEG or RAW image only when pressed.
Let me know if that is what may be happening.

It should be disable, unless you want it in silent mode for some reason.
Is it actually taking two shots, or is it taking one and it sounds like it takes two?

Even though you are in One shot, you have to make sure that you are also not in "Low speed continuous drive", which is the setting to the right of the One shot choice, once you are in the "Q" Menu.
This choice should be "single shooting", not high speed continuos or low speed continuous.
Yes it's in "single shooting". A dont know why sometimes takes only one picture and other times takes two.
Then I don't think it has anything to do with silent mode.
My thought was that you have one of the buttons set to the custom function to switch from AI mode to Single Shot Mode and you are accidentally toggling it.
But, to make sure it isn't some function that you have set why don't you go to the tool bar and use the reset custom function button and it should clear anything that may have inadvertently engaged.
If that doesn't work, and you have it set for single shot and single frame and it still takes two something is internally wrong with the camera.
Are the exposures the same, or does one exposure have +1/3 or - 1/3?
