Upgrade to SpyderPro4. Is it worth it?

Currently, I use Spyder2Pro (2.3.5) and it works well on my LCD monitors.

Is there any advantage to upgrading to version 4?

It supposed to be way more accurate, but honestly, if the old one works for ya now, I'd pass.. unless it pops up on sale. Some folks might be selling the third version so they can pounce on the 4th. You could possibly get a better deal going that route.
Words get in the way of what I meant to say.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Seriously, if you are happy with the results of what you have now don't mess with it.

Unless of course you have shares in DataColor and are trying to boost dividends.

I don't know about the version 2 but I have the version 3 and, a couple of months ago, I followed one of their webminars on calibration which turned out to be more a demo of the version 4. Many had the same question:"should I upgrade from the 3?". Even the DataColor guys were saying that if you're happy with the current results you get with the calibration hardware you have, an upgrade is not necessary.

    Cheers,
    S.
