    Strobist DIY kit

Okay, call me remedial, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the DIY kit that come's with the strobist starving student packages from MPEX.

There is a adhesive shiny thing. (I'm guessing for a snoot)

A Black thin metal sheet. (no idea)

Black straws (for grids I know, but what do I house the straws in?)

That's it haha. But any advice or tips or directions would be wonderful if you have time.

    Thanks,

    Rodger

Maybe you put the straws in the black metal sheet?

I'm guessing the black metal sheet is a piece of CineFoil? Which you can use for barn doors, a snoot or a gobo (or if you want to slice up your fingers, origami :P)

lculpin, That's exactly what the black sheet is! Thanks so much haha.

I got the two light wireless kit (Cactus V2s system) without the lights. (Budget is only so big at any given moment haha). Unless you meant which DIY accessory kit. In which case it was something from Rosco that came with the ocf kit.

I guess I'll just play around with the stuff and figure out how to best use it.

    Thanks everyone!
