Damn! It does not work for my XTi or my 5D. I have tried others and still can not find the shutter count on my 5D.

    I just checked the website:

"EOSInfo will display the shutter counter for the 40D, the 50D, the 450D, 500D, and the 1000D. It will also show the shutter counter for the 5DMkII, but the camera must be power-cycled before the value is updated. The shutter counter will not be displayed (or will be displayed as "0") on the 1D*, 5D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 300D, 350D, and 400D"

I have a program for older cameras on my home computer. Will post it when I get home.

Hmmm, interesting program. Well I've always let my camera continue the counting of my photos and thats well over the 10,000, but now I think of it, how much of those, beside that 10,000 I deleted, o dear. I hope it just goes further with counting and not back to the last number.

My XSi was new when I got itand I've been letting mine just keep going too and it just started over for the second time. So, I guess that makes a little over20,000.I've slowed down considerably inthe past few months.

I'd love to use one of these programs if I had a used model.
    T3i, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 L, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 430ex (x2), 580ex
    13.3" MacBook Pro (late '11 model) w/8GB Ram & 1TB HD, Aperture 3 & Photoshop Elements 9

    guess I'm too late.

    from his site:

    <span style="background-color: #ff0000; font-size: large;"]UPDATE
(08/06/2009): The EOSInfo installer is currently unavailable.
Apparently Kaspersky anti-virus is reporting the presence of a trojan
(Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.cley) in it. I've run it against several
online services which check uploaded files against multiple anti-virus
packages, and Kaspersky and two others are the only packages (out of
40+) that report an issue. Hopefully the report is a false positive,
but in the meantime, I am taking the installer offline (SHUT HER DOWN,
CLANCY, SHE'S PUMPIN' MUD!). Check back periodically, or sign up for
the RSS feed on the News page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

bummer. woulda been nice to know...

It's a false positive IMO, I scanned it with NoD32 with up to date defs and it's clean.

Honestly, so many Virus Scanners are TERRRIBLE! And everything is reported.. I hate the fact some of my Malware programs scan my Remote Admin as a backdoor virus also ... ya .. thanks virus software it's a backdoor as I'm using it to remotely connect to my PC!!!

    Just my 2 cents.
