Need graphic designer for logo.

Has anyone had a good experience with one? Anyone able to do it themselves? Looking to start some branding on my website, as well as business cards, letterhead, etc. Looking for something crisp and modern incorporating my initials (MGB). So you only want your initials in the logo? Do you have any other suggestions as to what you want in it? I'm not a professional graphic designer, but I'd like to have a go at it. I've done a couple in the past. Let me know if you have any more details you want to be included in the logo. I'll try to put something together (for no charge of course when I get the time.

My girlfriend is a graphic designer. Has been the Sr Graphic Designer for Watermark Credit Union for many years (and won many awards there) but also does freelance work on the side. Does the whole range from designing logo's to website design to fine art.

All biased aside, she is darn good at what she does but is not (yet) some high priced big name designer so her prices are reasonable for even the 'little guy' out there.
