180mm f/3.5 Macro lens feels loose on my 40d

I've gone through two copies of this lens and they both have a little movement when attached to the camera body. I have a handful of other lenses lighter and heavier (e.g. 70-200 f/2.8 IS) and they don't have any movement at all. The movement seems to be vertical only, not a side to side thing ...odd feeling (worse with the Kenko tubes on).

I'm wondering if anyone else has felt this play in the lens when attached?

Yes I have some minor play in the Sigma, and I've noticed it in at least one of my L's but don't know off hand which.

Yes it is worse with the Kenko tubes on. But, it doesn't seem to affect anything so I don't worry about it.

Whether this is true or not, I just passed it off to the difference on lens that were weather sealed and those that weren't

Same here. Only ones that don't have play for me are my 24mm f/1.4 and both TC's when attached to a lens. Shouldn't matter much in the end.
