    All Members: Forum Improvements

All, Bryan ask me to let you know that he has maded some adjustments that will hopefully improve the quality of images uploaded directly to the site. The new max sizes are: 1200 pix wide x 800 pix long. He also made some adjustments so that the VBulletin software doesn't automatically resize the photo. So Lets give it a try: The first image posted is directly to the forum and the second image will be from my Zenfolio account.

Here goes: Both will be sized by me for 800 px wide: For the first one, click on thumbnail for full size image.

I think it looks good; better than the previous settings.

Edit: I'm attempting to upload a file, but it states the the file size limit is 195KB? That seems a bit low.

When you convert the file, try setting the the resoluton to 72, that is fairly standard for web images.

I'll continue to use my own hosting then; I understand the need to save on web space.

Great shot to highlight this Bob. The thumbnail shot, is just easier on the eye with the grey background, it really highlights the difference when compared to the harsh white background. Either image shows the beautiful detail you have captured with the doves head.

Thanks Steve--I like seeing the images on the gray background as well. I think Bryan managed to push all the right buttons on this improvement.
