    a few night shots with 50D and 24-70 & 70-200

I recently bought 50D with 24-70 L and 70-200 f4L (a big upgrade from my previous box - rebel XT with 17-85). Took some night shots of midtown Manhattan.

I would really appreciate any critique on my posted photos. This will definitely encourage me to go out further:-)

Thanks for the comment. Yep the one with the binoculars is my favourite too...I was just winding up my tripod then noticed the binoculars (it was always there!) and came the idea....

You've got great shots - both from the new combo and from the old one.

Ohh and congrats for getting the new combo and welcome to the forum []

I like IMG_0060 the most because of the twilight sky, and how smooth the water looks.

The white balance on IMG_0003 made the sky a bit too purple for my taste. Was it set on "fluorescent"?

Thanks Vlad for your comments. Funny that I too had some reservation about IMG_003, esp. on the color. I guess I used the mode "cloudy, twilight, sunset".

Note that the white balance on IMG_0060 was auto and interestingly both photos were taken around same time (though different day).
