    do you turn off I.S ror sports shots?

    No. It's true that at high shutter speeds often used to shoot sports, IS doesn't offer any real benefit for the shot itself. But, it stabilizes the image in the viewfinder before the shot, which can help with framing and composition.

    I leave mine on as a rule. In addition, some lenses, like the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 <span style="color: #ff0000;"]L IS USM, have a panning mode which I use for sports such as soccer.
