Very nice pictures! what lens and body did you use when taking those landscape pictures?

Very cool pictures you've got there. Were they taken with the 1V?

Re: My Gallery Updated - Have a look!
JJphoto,
Thanks for the kind words. Most of them are taken with the Canon XTi with a variety of lenses. The landscapes are mostly from the 17-85/4-5.6 IS, not a L lens but good for all those shots. The birds are taken with the 70-200/4L IS. Now I have the 24-70L and 16-35/2.8L II, but I don't have that much free time to spend on photography as before... sad.
Oren,
Thanks! The only pictures that have been taken with my 1V is the statue&Church, the Elora ruin and the Victoria College. Most of them are on digital, and most of the digitals are done on my old XTi body.
I'm trying to get some good work done during this summer though, since we have 4 months of summer vacation here in University of Toronto. I'll visit China (Mostly Beijing) once again later this summer, hopefully I can get some valuable shots to share afterwards.

Very nice pictures and I am stunned at the quality of those landscapes. I never thought 17-85 can do that. I guess it's what the artist can do. I thought it was something wider, like 10-22mm. I have to try it with mine, now you made me curious, I love that!
Did you use tripod for those landscape pictures? Did you photoshop at all? I am all clutz so far and I am learning EVERYTHING, so I am curious just about anything.
Oh, by the way...I found out from other forums/descriptions that that darn 70-200 makes that "boiling" noise with IS. So maybe my lens is perfect after all and I am just obsessing for no reason. It does take great and sharp pictures, I love it.
Thanks for sharing your gallery, I love your portraits as well.

Re: My Gallery Updated - Have a look!
Thanks for the comment, I hope my pictures could ever deserve that []
I'll always use a tripod when I'm serious about getting a quality picture. So most of the landscapes are done with tripod, and of course for those long exposure ones. The 17-85 is certainly more of a capable lens than most people think, it does not fit my need any more is because I shoot indoor and in dark environment very often, so I need something faster.
I always keep PS to minimum, I normally add a little bit saturation (The color Canon camera produces responds to it well), sometime I will crop a bit if needed, and adjust slightly on exposure and contrast, that's pretty much it; nothing serious. So basically the photos you see are very close to the original ones.
The 70-200/4L IS deserves a lof of love!
