    YASP (Yet Another Self-Portrait). ;-)

Ok, so here I am at it again. I've been wanting to do a shot like this for a while now, but I simply haven't had the right subject to try it on. There's a lengthy description of the image on flickr (click on the photo to see), but in a nutshell there's a Vivitar 285HV behind me, 1/2 power, full CTO gelled. The strobe and camera are triggered via Cybersyncs.

Yes, I know the lens flare is bad, but nothing I did got rid of it. Maybe if I had angled the flash a little bit, it might have helped, but I didn't try that.

Nice photo. I think the flare adds some drama.

Oh, I actually like the flare too! However, I wish that the shapes of the flare was circular instead of the oddly shaped lumps seen here.

Awesome self-portrait! I like the lens flare and agree with you it'd look even better if the flare shapes were more rounded.

Great shot! Lens flare isn't always a bad thing
