messing with camera set ups....help needed

I have read that you can actually reassign your buttons you use for zooming pictures (the +/_ buttons) to use them to change exposure compensation, sort of like Nikon has it. Any idea how I can do it on my 40D<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #c0c0c0; font-size: small;"]?


Any help will be greatly appreciated, as usual.

I believe you can use custom controls. Click "Menu" and find Custom Controls, you can configure all the buttons from there.
