Anyone have the Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip?

Anyone have it? How does it compare to the more expensive official Canon battery grip for the 5D Mark II? I've read mixed reviews and can't decide.

I have never used this brand, but some of mybuddies do, on both Canon and Nikon cameras. Most of them swear by those grips. I did hear about some random camera freezes with the grip on, but I do not remember any details. I can check for you, though.

My personal advice is, wait and save for a Canon grip. 5DII is not exacly a cheap camera and I would not take any chance buying a third party power accessory. I used a total of 4 Canon grips, one of them on 2 bodies, and never experienced any issues. To me, proprietary grips are more reliable elecronically andmore rigid (rigidity matters when taking long exposures with the camera on a tripod). My 2 pennies.

Good luck with whichever grip you get.
