    Very Stupid Question

Just received my 5DMK11 Hooray. Love the beast. Now the stupid question.

When I look through the view finder and look slightly down in the view finder, I can see some a type of reflexion. This happens with a 85 f1.8, 70-200 is, 24-70mm f2.8. My 7D does the same thing, but not as large as the 5D MKII. Am I looking at a part of the mirror?, or is there something wrong with both units. PS When I look straight into the view finder it's perfect in both cameras. Pleeeease tell me it's normal. LOL. Thanks Wally

My 5DII does it. I never noticed it before but since you mentioned it I looked and sure enough. I would expect the 5D's is larger due to the fact the mirror/sensor/prism are larger.

I just looked at my XSi and I can see a small bit of what you're talking about if I try hard enough.

Wally I expect it's just reflection off your tears of joy when you look through that viewfinder and realise how big it is [:P]

I also love my 5D II, it's a beautiful thing.
