Assignment #54: Little Things - Congrats Neuro!

On behalf of Assignment #53 co-winner Jayson this is Assignment #54 - Little Things

    As described by Jayson:

Photography can be a blast and challenging to say the least. In my experience, one of the more overlooked parts of photography are the little things. People go through the day looking at the big picture but rarely take the time to stop and see the little amazing things all around them. This doesn't have to be a macro challenge. Let's see some little things.

    The Finalists Are:

    Andy Stringer:

    Kayaker72:

    Neuroanatomist:

    DDT0725:

    Conropl:

Congratulations and good luck to the finalists....and please remember to submit your pictures for Assignment #55: Creative Post-Processing by December 8th.

Great examples above, I hope we get lots of entries for this assignment.

I will be taking many pictures of cute 'little things' soon, but unfortunately it will be in a place beyond the reach of the internet and wi-fi, so I won't be able to share the results in this assignment.

Instead, I'll kick off with this shot from the archives.

Have a look on flickr for some clues about my next destination. I'll say more when I get back.

About two weeks left to this assignment.

This was taken in the Orchid Garden in Monteverde, Costa Rica this past spring. It turns out most of the worlds orchids are very small.

I still hope to get out and take a picture for this assignment.

My wife found two of these little things (although granted, they're not that little as insects go) in our yard recently.

Given that we're already being bombarded by holiday advertisements, this seems like a seasonally appropriate 'little thing'...

Little things...they are all around.....appreciate them...and if you want, photograph them and submit here, by the end of Sunday, if you would like to have it judged as part of this assignment

Wasn't until the end of October that I finally saw one of these little ladies ...
