    Assignment #55: Creative Post-Processing

On behalf of Neuroanatomist I would like to bring you Assignment #55: Creative Post Processing!

    As described by Neuro:

I've been on a bit of a Photoshop kick lately, and I'd love to see what everyone comes up with. The idea is to experiment with different computer techniques to transform the original photograph into a stylized work…the final result must portray “altered reality”.
    The Finalists:

M_Six: excellent use of glass sphere, warping, shadow and highlight, cooling the color in the sphere is a great touch

jrw: great capture(s) with editing resulting in a natural looking result that's hard to achieve

Joel Eade: excellent detail and tone, a surrealistic effect without seeming overdone

Sean Setters: great choice of panu subject, blended perfectly, the color palatte manages to look modern yet nostalgic at the same time

Jayson: amazing detail of a difficult to capture subject

Good luck to all the finalists!

The Poll will be open until Monday, 12/16!

Even though I'll have to recuse myself from competing in this assignment, here's a bump for the thread after I finally got around to Photoshopping some images from Halloween.

    EOS 1D X, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM @ 25mm, 1/250 s, f/8, ISO 200, Chroma Green backdrop and Photoshop CS6

So I'm thinking a composite image is ok as long as I shot all the images used to create it?

Without going too "crazy"....this is an image that is pretty straightforward. I re-processed it with Topaz ReStyle.

I'm not sure how creative the post-processing is, but it's probably my favorite 360-degree stitched panorama so far.
