Apologies for the flies, btw. They do get pretty bad in certain spots in the summer (mostly inland, fortunately). I think on the beach they really enjoy the washed up kelp and so on that accumulates.

I have never seen so many flies as I did in Mandurah. My wife and I were covered up with them just walking on the beach. Other than the flies we loved WA. Hopefully next time we'll come in the flies off season.
