    Lip Locking! Ring-billed Gull Kiss



    The ring-billed gulls are abundant in Sol Cal, but this is the first and onlytime I witness the mating. It's loud and violent.


    Taken with 40D, 400 f/5.6L, Aperture Priority, f/7.1, 1/800 sec, ISO 400, +1 Exp. Com.

    Absolutely gorgeous shot. Did you do any photoshop work to white-out the background? I think this makes the photograph that much more dramatic with the abstract reflection in the foreground.

    Hi Dave, no photoshop work was done to the background. This subject was heavily backlit.
