    IMG suddenly _MG. What gives?

I have been using the same SanDisk 4GB CF card in my 4OD since I got the camera, and now it seems to be naming the images "_MG" instead of "IMG". Please help me understand what happened and how tofix it!! Thank you.

BTW, it doesn't seem coincidental, but I also did a firmware update a month or so ago on the camera body. Just FYI.

I think you've changed the color profile from sRGB to Adobe, check it!

Whoa, you're right! How did you know that? Is the file name different for each one automatically? I wonder why? Also, should I change back? I thought I read on here that AdobeRGB is preferable.

It gives you a wider color range, but I think that for raw files, it doesn't matter.

Yap, when you change the color profile the filename format will be changed too, I think it's to recognize.

Change back or not, it's not important, it's up too which color profile you want to work with.

AdobeRGB give you more color range to work (Ps), but photo lab and web color are almost sRGB.
