Alright, my selections are:

Portrait: Joel for his kitty. Beautiful image of a beautiful creature, nice and sharp with good separation from the distracting background.

Landscape: qwRad for his lightning. It may have been luck, but it's a fantastic shot.

Honorable mention to Wally (bouwy) for his grandson. A nice sharp portrait indoors, which can be tricky.
