Wow...so many amazing entries this week. I can't recall ever seeing so many superb entries in one week before.
It is a tough choice but.....I am giving the win to Jonathan for Canmore Sunrise. The composition, warm colors and stillness of the water are just great. Also the planning and execution behind the scenes on this one is to be congratulated.
Not easy to pick one this week because all the entrants are so nice.
Well done everyone!!!
Great shot Jonathan!
Wow thanks so much! I thought this contest was over when I saw Brant's "Power Lines" shot... I really like that one.
My shot did take a bit of planning, and a lot of stubbornness. I had made several trips there, and I wasn't going to give up on the spot until I got what I wanted. That particular morning it was actually raining just 5 minutes earlier, and I was fully ready to pack it in. But then a small patch of red appeared, and a few seconds later the sky completely took off. The next minute was completely frantic. I had just enough time to do two sets of panoramas, before the colour vanished. Landscape photography is supposed to be calm and contemplative, but this was as wild as photographing a polar bear right in front of me. I know the saturation in the picture looks a bit jacked up, but trust me it's not! It was a crazy morning, well worth setting the alarm clock for.
Thanks again everyone!
