OT: PC to Mac, Transitioning Help Please

go to "system preferences", then click "keyboard&mouse" and set your right click button to "secondary button"

Perfect, I do love my right-click abilities so that will probably be one of the first things I do.

I hope you got a Magic Mouse. The UI matches that of the MacBooks, and it's wonderful. The scrolling is so intuitive!

I did, the new iMacs come with them standard which is sweet. I played with one at Best Buy and loved the two-finger scrolling.

Disks have to be formatted FAT32 if you want them to be cross-platform writable. NTFS is readable but not writable on Mac. Apple FS is better, if you're ready to commit to a single platform.

I'll still have a PC in the house but it will be mostly relegated to on-the-couch internet browsing and whatever my wife feels like doing with it so I may go ahead and give Apple FS a try from the get go.

TimeMachine is an awesome home Internet router/WiFi/backup tool/USB HD share/USB printer share. I have a 1TB unit. It does home wireless, A/B/G/N dual-band simultaneous, guest network option (that can't see your home network), auto backups using TimeCapsule software included on your Mac (and available for Windows) with revision history

I am very much interested in one of these!

OpenOffice.org is a great MS Office replacement, if you're looking for something free.

What about iWork? I know it's not free but I've heard good things and according to the Apple website:
