Every once in awhile I get push back or even a few comments and I reference all sorts of other hobbies....season tickets to XXX team? How about motorcycles, snowmobiles or jet skis?

And, yes, if I really wanted something, I would be finding a way to afford it, which would likely motivate me more to sell unused gear. As it stands, the 1DX III is what I am most tempted by. Even looking at the series of GBHs fighting, there were a lot of missed shots with my 5DIV when you look at the sequence. But, I see this both ways, sure 16 fps and better AF, I am confident that I would have ended up with more keepers, but, also with my 5DIV, I ended up with enough keepers to put together a nice series, how many more keepers do I need? Its not like shooting birds is my day job. But, as soon as I do more wildlife/BIF trips, I can see wanting a camera that has more fps. For now, the 5DIV is a very nice all arounder.

Thanks, I am glad you found it interesting. I'll keep doing it as I find it interesting too. It also reminds me to make efforts to take other lenses out. It is easy to fall into ruts, and to an extent, I do think I was in a rut for some of 2019. Not taking the time to make efforts for special photographic days. I used to give myself random goals of collecting night scenes, backyard birds, or something like that. I didn't do that in 2019. I just shot what was convenient. But, it was also a busy work year, so, you know. Day jobs matter as well.
