2020 - Image of the Week #34

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly, and in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Forum Image of the Year."

• Week 34 entry period will be from Monday, August 17th through/including Sunday, August 23rd.
• Please provide a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

"Moulton Barn at Sunrise"

I would have loved to be able to use a similar composition I scouted the evening before. But, for it, you really need the place to yourself. With other photographers and a few tourists, I settled on a similar angle, but closer to the barn.

My pick is "Moulton Barn at Sunrise". I like the barn a lot and the time chosen to photograph is excellent. My only critique is I would have liken to see the foreground a little bit brighter.

Dave...I am wondering, if you click through to flickr, do you still think the foreground is too dark? Obviously they are the same image, but I often see images change a bit from format to format. Some images do not seem to play nicely on TDP. Of course, images with a smaller subject often do not look as nice in our forum format. But even here, I think you can see into the shadows a better on the larger image and thus it works better for me.

Anyway, just curious. If nothing else, it could just be me and my perspective as I do love me some moody images. Thanks for the feedback.
