    Canon RF 20mm f/1.4L VCM

Announced today, Canon's first new 20mm lens in 33 years and two stops faster than the EF 20/2.8. I preordered one at announcement time, looking forward to seeing how it performs for astro. MTFs look similar to the 24/1.4L VCM, the new 20/1.4 uses the BR coating ('blue goo') like the EF 35L II and RF 85/1.2L to reduce CA.

I already have the RF 24/1.4L, this one is pretty close numerically but 20mm is noticeably wider in my experience, and also means an extra 4 trail-free seconds for stars.

Me too. And I can't justify having both. So I guess I sell the 24mm?

I'm considering it, but it seems a shame to sell a lens I bought so recently. I'll probably keep both and see which gets more use. The bigger question for me is do I really need to also keep the RF 24/1.8 STM?
