These are actually from awhile back (April)....

I did not know, but the top of the Reichstag (German Parliament) in Berlin is a glass dome. You can tour the dome and watch the proceedings below (literally). Lesser known is that there is a restaurant next to the dome. If you have reservations, you can tour the dome and have a very nice dinner. Reservations for the dome were sold out, but there was an opening at the restaurant. So, during a trip to Germany in April, I flew out of Berlin and took these at sunset.

I was out west last week and was able to see the fireworks display in Seattle. Held over South Lake Union (New Years is over the Space Needle...so I learned), which is near Amazon's campus.

Great display. I had several that I really like. I am not even entirely sure these are my favorites, but a reasonable selection.
