Hi Jayson- Nice. The composition is great and the colors are very vivid, but not overdone (IMO, that is... tastes vary).
The 100mm macro is quite a versatile lens... it isn't just for macros.
Brilliant shot. Maybe a bit more saturation, but comp is dead on.
Thanks everyone for your nice comments, it is very encouraging.
Dave, I really like the reaction of the monkey in the last image, one looksso serious, the other looks dissapointed, were you doing something that they didn't approve of ? [] j/k! I think you can enhance the image by sharpening it, looks like the softness is due to resizing.
Jayson, that is one nice image, a classic pose and composition of apeacock.
I took a walk at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve and found this heron hunting smelts
40D & 400 f/5.6L, f/6.3, 1/3200, ISO 250, -1
This is fullframe. The larger version came straight out of the camera, I onlyresized, sharpened and added a border. For this one, I felt that the bg is too blue so I desaturated the bg. I also blended the black area in the ULC.
