My entire kit packs up nicely in a Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG and a Lowepro - EX 120 Photo/Video Bagso it often goes everywhere I go. Sometimes I leave the Lowepro - EX 120 Photo/Video Bagbehind but the last time I did I regretted it since it holds my EF100mm f/2.8 and my EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS. The house that we have rented is 1 block from the beach so I will be able to easily run back and forth (if necessary) to change gear.

My first piece of advice would be: don't take it all. I've doneit and wound up using not even half of what I had taken. I would narrow the kit to 10-22, 17-55, 70-200, 50, one of your speedlites and the remote. These should cover all fo the objectives, IMHO. Ihope you're takingsome kind of tripod with you.

<p style="CLEAR: both"]This will be my go-to kit but I'd hate to be in one of those "I wish I brought my..." situations since I'll be there for a week. If I only use my macroone time it will be worth it to me []. On top of that if there are some cool birds or dolphins swimming in the ocean I am going to want to have access to my EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS.
<p style="CLEAR: both"]I am absolutely bringing a tripod (even though it's a horribly crappy one []). An upgrade is in the works but my bank account is still suffering from my June purchase of the EF70-200mm f/2.8 L IS.
