Sorry to see your having trouble. Something seems amiss in the optics. I'd call Canon and ask them to look at it. The price to send itin for inspection/repairmay outwiegh the price to honestly pass it along to someone else. Remember to leave a comment on the e-bay seller's feedback page. Don't rant, just report that the lens delivered was defective and not within L class specs. Give the seller a low grade. People should be more honest about flaws in the products they sell, especially L class lenses. Hopefully, he'll wise up from the negative feedback and be more honest in his future dealings. Chalk it up to life experience. Buyer beware.


According to slrgear.com, photozone.de, and Bryanthis lens looks really good wide open.


I hope that you can for a resonable penalty, get the lens fixed and get much enjoyment out of it.
