    Thanks jcmeza_21,

The shot could have been made with any of theXXD cameras, a 50 1.4 @ f2 (80mm FF equivalent) and a 430ex (if I had that stuff). The equipment is definitely nice but it's knowing how to use what you have that matters. It does look amazing at 21MP though [].

Here's my little contribution to this great thread.

A rather close-up portrait of my dear green eyed cougar (wife).

In post-process I croped it square and changed the levels.

I'm a rather strict b'n'w photographer but color for the change is good as well.

    Hello,

I'm a beginner just starting out and love taking portraits with a nice blurred background. Any feedback appreciated.

Some portraits of my daughters. Three of Sigrid and the last one of Clara.

I sold my 28-135mm and purchased the 24-105mm 4L and have never looked back. Awesome lens!

The first two were taken last weekend in the evening on an over cast day using only available light. They are self portraits. I used a wireless remote for both. I'm on the left, my wife the right.

This is the first "shoot" i did after getting an SLR. I just had my wife sit on a table and I spent about 45 min roaming and shooting her from different distances etc. She really liked this one, it was her facebook profile pic for quite a while
