    Took my dad to San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park today...waited a long for this guy to be active. Sorry, it's not WILD [:P]

    Uh, Nate: I'm glad that it's not wild. With only a 200mm lens, if it had been wild, you and your dad might have ended up as dinner. We can't afford to lose you--we'd not get our almost-daily "fix" of jaw-dropping bird photos.

    Jaw dropping is a bit of an understatement. Nate, that lion is unbelievably amazing. Full frame at 200mm, that lion was pretty darn close. For real, thanks for sharing that gem.

    Great capture Nate! I always have to wait until the fall or spring to get active lion shots, since they are so lazy during the hot summer months in the Northeast! You always apply just the right amount of sharpening to your photos, razor sharp but never oversharpened...
