It worked! However, I'd suggest that you scale the photos to 800 pixels wide for the Forum.
I also have an S3 IS--it was my second digital camera, after a Canon G2. I used it exclusively for quite a while until I got a used 30D. If I were somehow able to take the trip to Ireland & Britain that I've dreamed about, I'd probably buy the successor to the S3, the SX20 IS, and take it, rather than deal with the bulk & weight of a DSLR plus lenses. Nowadays, it sits on my desk so that I can take shots of birds at the bird bath outside my window. (I'll be putting up a bird feeder soon.)
I have a Lensmate adapter tube on my S3. It protects the lens when it's extended and allows me to use 52mm filters and add-on lenses. I have (but no longer use) a Raynox DC-730 0.73x wide-angle converter, which takes the S3 to the equivalent of 26mm, but at the cost of significant barrel distortion. (There are better WA converters, but they're more expensive.) I added a Raynox DCR-1540 1.54x teleconverter and DCR-250 Macro lens. With those, the S3 goes from 26mm-662mm in 35mm equivalent, almost what my 30D would do with the lenses I used to have. (Most of my zoom lenses were stolen a bit more than a week ago.)
