Don't buy cheaper cards. It just isn't worth it. Not only do you run the risk of losing all your photos if the card gets corrupted, but fast transfer speed is a lot more important than you might realise. I foolishly bought a cheap Sandisk card from ebay and found out it was a fake - and it can take over 30 second for my camera to empty its buffer into it and the camera isn't usable for all this time. My genuine Sandisk cards take about 2 second for the camera to empty the buffer and the camera is usable before that.


If you consider the shots you might miss with a slow transfer speed then the extra price starts to look much more worthwhile.
