Who Insures Your Equipment ?

I'm looking for an insurance company to cover my equipment. I'd like recommendations on your provider.


I'm not eligable for coverage through my homeowners policy because ofmycommercial work, so I need a company versed in covering professionalphotographers.

State Farm insures mygears $175/year for $13,000 worth of gear. You'd need all the receipts, serial numbers and warranty cards(those arewhat I brought to them). With no deductible, coverage includes fire, theft, robbery and accident.

Bryan C.may have some good recomendations? I have a rider on my homeowner's policy but I realize that you are not elligible. Hopefully another pro will chime in.

My gear is insured through an Inland Marine policy with The Hartford.


I simply keep my agent updated with model names/numbers, serial numbers and values via a spreadsheet.


Then they simply withdrawal lots of money from my bank account. [:S]
