This happened to me before so I'm going to ask you this question:


Did you use your CF card on another camera and set the file numbering to continuous? When you put a CF card to a 3000 shutter 350D, takes some shot, then back to your 200 shutter 50D, file number of succeeding images would be 3001.RAW, 30002.RAW etc etc.... That's why when I swap CF cards, I'm sure to remove traces of images from another camera before slapping it on my 50D.





What program are you using? I guess you're a Canon user, had you tried Digital Photo Professional? This program shows your EXIF data. And it's free.
