Thanks! It does seem to be working out pretty good for me . But since I've never used another, I don't know how it compares. Maybe that's a good thing!

I tried an Induro BHD-3 ballhead (top-of-the-line) and my impressions were that it was sturdy, very heavy, and priced OK. Nothing wrong with it at all, it worked fine for me, I don't know how long it lasts, though. Induro uses a closed-ball design, which is extremely hard to clean. I personally am a fan of the open ball design, but it's not too big of a deal. The BHD-3 was better than I thought it would be. Just very heavy, it's 2 pounds!
