Looking for Spring . . .

I saw this little fella out in the sunshine yesterday morning. The white stuff on the twigs is heavy frost. Shot with a 5D MkII, 24-105 F4L IS, F7.1, 1/320s, ISO 100. Cropped and reduced to fit the webpage.

Great shot, what was the focal length? Cause when I first saw the picture I was sure you had used a 400mm or something like that. So, what focal length and if possible, how far away you were from this little guy? (a rough estimation would be fine)

With a 24-105mm on, I shot at 105 of course. I also had my 70-200 F4 IS with me but I didn't have time to get it on. (I got some others of his friends and cousins later with the zoom.) I shot with what I had on. The little guy was maybe 20 to 30 feet away. I can't remember because I was too busy scrambling with the camera. The field of view has been cropped by about a half so it looks like a telephoto shot.

Nice picture! Maybe a little cropping? But all the same it's good =)

Very cute. I like the smooth blue background. Frames the photo well.
