First soccer game I shot with my 70-200 f/4 L, my friend asked if it zoomed to infinity... really...? haha.

Haha and just imagine that the 2.8 version is way bigger as well. I (and a lot of people with me) always thought my (sold) 70-200 f4 was big until I tested the 100-400 2 days ago [A] My mother in law called it a drainpipe for the roof [:P]

A security person asked about my 100-400. I showed them a picture at 400mm with a full frame camera, and they were not impressed with how much 'zoom' it had. I guess I could have 'digital zoomed', but I just let it drop.
